Biography
- Altered AU/own version of Alan from MÄR
- Ambidextrous, but favors his right hand
- Smokes cigars, but has a bad habit of lighting them and not smoking them because he’s too preoccupied with something else
- Garbage disposal when it comes to food, but otherwise has an affinity for exotic/bizarre foods (and a special place in his heart—and stomach—for banana pancakes)
- Can handle just about any kind of weapon (and can use just about anything as a weapon) he gets his hands on. However, he relies more one weaponry than arms—carrying about 2–4 swords and a plethora of hand-held weapons (most notably the bagh nakh)
- [The inspiration to give Alan the bagh nakh, or "Tiger’s Claw" in Indian, came from the anime Baki—but also plays nicely with the Italian translation for Alan all over marheavenj.net, which is "Tigre"]
- Both he and Ryker Takahashi are considered Leonardo (Leo) Everette’s personal "guard dogs"; Alan would be a Rottweiler, whereas Ryker would be a Doberman Pinscher
- Voiceclaim: Lex Lang (Alan)
- Seiyuuclaim: Ryota Takeuchi
[Early Backstory Coming Soon!]
Alan's been at Leonardo Everette’s side since the beginning of the incumbent’s campaign. Having grown close to one another (Alan’s position requires him to accompany Leo everywhere—he’s literally THE "guard dog"), Leo considers Alan to be his right-hand man—and rarely makes final decisions without Alan having at least heard them.
A short while after Leo’s presidency began, the veteran members of the Elite Guard1 and those in the Presidential Cabinet determined a need for an increase in security. Being the closest to the President—as well as being the most qualified of the Leo’s constituents—Alan conducted specialized training with selected members of the Elite Guard at that time to find suitable candidates (the more veteran members did not take part—they’re needed to continue training new recruits/etc.). Having both personal and professional stakes in the outcome, Alan’s training was both grueling and unforgiving, and very few caught Alan’s attention—let alone made it to the very end. The one who showed the most promise was one of the younger members, Ryker Takahashi. Ryker alone ended up commanding Alan’s attention at the very end of the training, and he was selected to become part of the presidential guard.
The two didn’t mesh as well as Leo would’ve liked initially, but Alan and Ryker have—over time—become "partners in crime", so to speak. Alan’s aloof façade masks his otherwise passionate emotions, and he’s easily (and most of the time) fueled by fiery emotions and motives. Where Alan is wicked and spiteful, Ryker is analytical and collected. Like fire and ice, Ryker cools Alan down, and Alan melt’s Ryker’s cold, detached exterior. The two couldn’t make a more deadly combo, but they’re a cosmic-forged force for protecting the President.
Given his position as Leo’s guard, he never leaves the President’s side. While Leo was in a meeting one night, something peculiar caught Alan’s attention. He quietly alerted a few guards to go check it out, refusing to leave Leo alone. When the guards failed to return, Alan instructed that Ryker not leave the President’s side while he went to investigate. Alan found the guards’ lifeless bodies in the outer chamber of the meeting room. Unfortunately for the infiltrator, however, they misstepped and made a noise Alan was able to pick up. Alan made short work of them, snatching them from their hiding place, only to find that the infiltrator was a woman; Shikyo, to be exact. Although Shikyo managed to escape from his iron grip, Alan quickly managed to be more than Shikyo could handle. He knocked her around until she began to cough up blood, all the while Ryker was growling through Alan’s earpiece. Ryker sent two more guards outside, who promptly attempted to restrain Alan—to no avail. They distracted him enough for Shikyo to back herself away and into a corner, away from the brute, but he came barreling after her. The only thing that stopped him was a calm, firm voice—Leo’s voice.
[ Armed Tank ]
Alan shows no discretion between fighting with his bare hands or with weapons, as he has a mastery over both. He learned at a young age—during his time fighting in underground tournaments—that nobody plays fair, and rules are more like guidelines. He honed his body into a weapon first, then trained himself to be able to handle weapons effortlessly. Due to his history of fighting and the merc/assassin/hitman jobs he’s taken, he’s able to handle just about any weapon in the world—and can make anything he gets his hands on into a weapon.
[ Bagh Nakh ]
One of Alan’s favorite weapons—given to him early on in his fighting career by a "mentor" of sorts. Alan’s bagh nakh (Indian for tiger’s claw) has been modified to be coated in the same titanium that comprises the cybernetic armor of the Siterian2 Army. Albeit one of his favorites, he seldom uses it.
[ Sword Set ]
Alan possesses a set of four swords that have brought him much fortune from his mercenary, assassination, and hitman jobs. Since earning the position of the President’s bodyguard, however, they have remained on the mantle as a prize and memoir.
[ Dual Handguns ]
Given his position as the President’s bodyguard, Alan was outfitted with a pair of handguns to keep on his person at all times. As much as he prefers hand-to-hand combat, the handguns are useful for keeping aggressors at a distance and at bay.
[ "Knucklehead" ]
Alan’s trusty double-barreled shotgun. Less concealable than his handguns, he only carries this on his person when escorting or moving the President.
